Our Annual General Meeting was held at St Peters Public Library on Tuesday 21st October.
The short meeting was followed by guest speaker DEBORAH ABELA (author of the Max Remy series). She was a very dynamic speaker who is passionate about her work. Those present were treated to the background of the Jasper Zammit series which she co-wrote with Johnny Warren along with insights about the Max Remy series which ends with book 10. Supper and the drawing of raffle prizes followed.
The minutes of the 2007 AGM were not tabled at the meeting but are tabled below in the forms box.
The forms box also includes the membership form for 2009. We welcome renewing members and encourage anyone interested in childrens' literature to join. We would love to have you as part of our membership!

On Tuesday 3rd June 2008 The Children's Book Council, in conjunction with the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters and the SWAP library network hosted the launch of Lamplighter the second book of DM Cornish's Monster Blood Tattoo series.
The large crowd enjoyed hearing from Dyan Blacklock, (publisher) and the author himself about the journey of the novels. David was kept busy signing books for his fans.
